MY WEEK IN PHOTOS: NOVEMBER 28-DECEMBER 4, 2016!
My fridge broke…alas. So this week is a lot of eating out, preparing the advent calendar, helping Marie with her video, being 75 year old grandpas at a steakhouse, and a few hours at Disneyland…
Enjoy!

Woke up on Monday to a totally warm fridge…things were stinky and rotting. Somehow during the Thanksgiving break, it had turned off and stayed off…and we had to throw a lot of frozen and cold items away. 😦

Made it to work after the fridge fiasco. Landlord having somebody come look at in the coming days…*DAYS*

The Getty put up the lights, this year they are a lil’ different

Happy hour sushi with Kiki before a screening of La La Land

Wandering around at sunset for some photos for the Getty instagram

“Hey, need me to take any cups back to the kitchen?” I turn around and see this…Tristan Mughands

Hot soup. It’s a blessing and a financial curse to have to continue to eat out with no fridge.

This year we’re using an old advent calendar that Zach’s mom gave him last year and refilling them. I took the even days, he took the odd days, so we hit up 2 different dollar stores to get 13 items each (so we both got a thing for Christmas day)

Got this baby at the Dollar Store

A preview of some of things I’m putting in the advent cal

Breakfast out (still have no fridge for eggs…milk…wahhh).

Walked past another 99 cent store, and there were some scary creatures in there

One doesn’t look like the other

Zach put his half in!!! Eeeek I’m excited

Had to stop by Samy’s on the way to help film Marie’s crowdfunding video

Made it to Marie’s with a mic in hand

Marie getting ready and her actress enjoying some of Marie’s cooking

Marie not happy to be in front of the camera

Much happier on the other side

We spontaneously decided to check out this steak house that I pass frequently

We were in the La La Land spirit of dark jazz clubs with a bit of a crusty vibe

My turn to open! Awww a lil’ reindeer

We’ve come to microwaveable meals T____T WE NEED A FRIDGE

Day 2 – alpaca lil’ towel/handkerchief to take to the studio

Wore my crummy shoes to work but I was feel v. casual on a Friday

Working with curators of the alchemy show to do an Instagram Q&A

To meet up with Kiki at Disneyland!!!

We went to CA Adventure first to check out the special food carts

Grabbed some beers to go wait in line at Toy Story

Made it over to Disneyland to find Kiki

We had to branch off from Kiki’s group again (she was there with work friends)

Zach decided to get a penny made

Meeko! I feel connected to Meeko because my favorite Disney priness is Pocahontas and I loved it as a kid and always liked his name because it’s so close to my middle name!!

There she is! In line for Matterhorn

My turn to open the advent cal…wow these are great

Kiki brought us to volunteer with the Children’s Institute at their winter carnival. Helped kids make cookies for a few hours, twas delightful.

Love all the little festive nooks

Saturday was a D&D night plus a potluck, so I made some rosemary chicken. Here’s the recipe, it’s simple: get party wings, spray pam on the baking glass track, then lay the wings down. Add seasonings…whatever you want! I use lawry’s, garlic salt, and dried rosemary. Bake 60 minutes on 400, but flip the wings halfway through. They should be crispy!

The plate! Salad, rosemary chicken, and chicken shawarma

The gang getting their plates together

Since we were playing D&D at Kiki’s place we need to make our characters (we usually use legos) so we had a little arts and crafts time…

Finally got the old fridge out…it was smelling terrible. No real fridge yet, unfortunately…but Marie let us borrow a mini fridge she’s had since college

Stuff is everywhere to clear the path for the old fridge to leave and the new one to come…in another week. So that’ll be 2 weeks without a fridge T___T

Went downtown with Kiki and Ders and Zeen, stopped for cocktails and lunch at Far Bar

Walked over to Angel City Brewery

Perfect day for some corn hole

Didn’t have dinner till late…so we shared a pack of doritos tacos like idiots.
Much love friends!
